กิจกรรมในครั้งนี้เป็นการร่วมมือกันของพนักงานจิตอาสา GPSC บริษัทคู่ค้า ชมรมคนรักษ์ป่า เขาห้วยมะหาด หน่วยงานราชการ และชุมชนในพื้นที่เขตอำเภอเมือง ในการปลูกป่าเพิ่มความสมดุลทางชีวภาพ จำนวน 5 ไร่ มีชนิดพันธุ์ไม้ป่า 16 ชนิด จำนวน 720 ต้น ก่อนหน้านี้มีการปลูกป่าบนเขาห้วยมะหาดมาแล้ว 2 แปลง จำนวน 22 ไร่ และปลูกซ่อมบำรุงรักษาต่อเนื่องอีก 5 ปี ช่วยลดก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์กว่า 20 ตันคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ต่อปี
