ผู้สื่อข่าวรายงานว่า แหล่งข่าวจากกลุ่มประเทศผู้ส่งออกน้ำมัน (โอเปก) กล่าวว่า สมาชิก 15 ชาติของโอเปกเห็นพ้องกันในหลักการเกี่ยวกับการปรับลดกำลังการผลิตน้ำมัน แต่โอเปกจะยังไม่เปิดเผยรายละเอียดดังกล่าว จนกว่าจะมีการบรรลุข้อตกลงกับรัสเซียในวันนี้(7ธ.ค.)

ทั้งนี้ คณะกรรมาธิการด้านการเงินของวุฒิสภา ซึ่งเป็นคณะกรรมาธิการชุดพิจารณาร่างกฎหมายภาษีดังกล่าว มีกำหนดจะลงมติเห็นชอบร่างกฎหมายปฏิรูปภาษีฉบับวุฒิสภาภายในสัปดาห์นี้ ส่วนการโหวตในวุฒิสภาแบบเต็มคณะนั้นจะจัดขึ้นหลังพ้นจากเทศกาลวันหยุดขอบคุณพระเจ้าแล้ว
