บริษัท มูราโมโต้ อีเล็คตรอน (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ METCO ระบุว่า เมื่อเวลาประมาณ 22.45 น.ของวันที่ 4 มี.ค. เกิดประกายไฟและควันไฟขึ้นที่ด้านหนึ่งของตู้ควบคุม UPS บริเวณสายการผลิต Mounting ในโรงงานบางเสาธง จ.สมุทรปราการ โดยเมื่อเกิดเหตุดังกล่าวบริษัทได้ทำการหยุดสายการผลิตบริเวณที่เกิดเหตุนั้นทันที และอพยพพนักงานที่กำลังปฏิบัติงานอยู่ออกนอกพื้นที่ และทำการดับเพลิงไม่มีผู้ใดได้รับบาดเจ็บ แต่มีพนักงานบางส่วนที่เกิดอาการแสบตาและแสบคอจากควันไฟ

ทั้งนี้หลังจากที่มีการผ่อนปรนมาตรการล็อกดาวน์ และห้างสรรพสินค้าเริ่มกลับมาเปิดให้บริการได้ตั้งแต่เมื่อวานนี้ (17 พ.ค.63) บริษัทฯ ก็มีได้มีการวางมาตรการเพื่อตอบรับการเว้นระยะห่างทางสังคม (Social Distancing) โดยเฉพาะการลดการสัมผัส เช่น งดการทดลองสินค้าชั่วคราว แต่ก็มีแคมเปญให้ลูกค้าเปลี่ยนสินค้าได้ฟรี เพื่อสร้างความมั่นใจให้กับลูกค้าว่าหากมีปัญหาก็สามารถนำมาเปลี่ยนได้, การจ่ายเงิน โดยใช้ e-wallet card หรือ บัตรเครดิตในการชำระเงินแทนเงินสด เป็นต้น
