ภาวะการซื้อขายในตลาดน้ำมันนิวยอร์กเป็นไปอย่างซบเซา ก่อนที่ EIA จะเปิดเผยรายงานสต็อกน้ำมันดิบประจำสัปดาห์ในวันนี้เวลา 22.00 น.ตามเวลาไทยส่วนในรอบสัปดาห์ที่สิ้นสุดวันที่ 2 ต.ค.ที่ผ่านมานั้น สต็อกน้ำมันดิบเพิ่มขึ้น 3.1 ล้านบาร์เรล สู่ระดับ 461 ล้านบาร์เรล ซึ่งเป็นการเพิ่มขึ้นเป็นสัปดาห์ที่ 2 ติดต่อกัน และมากกว่าที่นักวิเคราะห์คาดว่าจะเพิ่มขึ้น 2.5 ล้านบาร์เรล
