ธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย หรือ ธปท.ระบุว่า ดัชนีความเชื่อมั่นทางธุรกิจในเดือน มิ.ย.59 ปรับดีขึ้นจากเดือนก่อนที่ระดับ 49.7 มาอยู่ที่ระดับ 50.4 หลังจากที่ทรงตัวใกล้เคียงระดับ 50 มาสองเดือนต่อเนื่อง โดยเป็นการปรับเพิ่มขึ้นจากปัจจัยชั่วคราวเป็นสำคัญ ตามความเชื่อมั่นของผู้ประกอบการในภาคอุตสาหกรรม โดยเฉพาะในกลุ่มปิโตรเคมี และกลุ่มการผลิตเหล็กและผลิตภัณฑ์โลหะขั้นมูลฐานที่คลายความกังวลด้านต้นทุน ประกอบการจากการปรับลดลงของราคาสินค้าโภคภัณฑ์ในตลาดโลกหลังจากขึ้นไปสูงมากในเดือนก่อนหน้า ส่งผลให้ความเชื่อมั่นด้านการผลิตและผลประกอบการปรับดีขึ้น

อีกทั้งส่วนแบ่งกำไรจากการร่วมค้า จำนวน 1,116 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้น 71% เมื่อเทียบกับไตรมาสที่ผ่านมา และลดลงเล็กน้อยที่ 1% เมื่อเทียบกับไตรมาสเดียวกันในปีก่อน ส่วนใหญ่มาจากโรงไฟฟ้าหลักทั้ง 2 แห่งอัน ได้แก่ โรงไฟฟ้าหงสา และ บีแอลซีพีโดยโรงไฟฟ้าหงสามีการหยุดเดินเครื่องเพื่อปรับปรุงประสิทธิภาพประจำปีของหน่วยผลิตที่ 1 จำนวน 18 วัน ในขณะที่หน่วยผลิตที่ 2 สามารถดำเนินงานได้เป็นอย่างดี จึงทำให้อัตราความพร้อมจ่ายหรือ EAF โดยรวมอยู่ที่ 81% รายงานส่วนแบ่งกำไรทั้งสิ้น 734 ล้านบาท ซึ่งได้รวมผลขาดทุนจากการแปลงค่าสกุลเงินแล้วจำนวน 138 ล้านบาท
