ในปี 2561 บริษัทการบินไทยฯ ได้รับมอบเครื่องบินใหม่ จำนวน 5 ลำ และปลดระวางเครื่องบินแบบโบอิ้ง B737-400จำนวน 2 ลำ ทำให้ฝูงบินของบริษัทฯ และบริษัทย่อย ณ วันที่ 31 ธันวาคม 2561 มีจำนวน 103 ลำ สูงกว่า ณ สิ้นปีก่อน 3 ลำ โดยมีอัตราการใช้ประโยชน์ของเครื่องบิน 12.0 ชั่วโมง เท่ากับปีก่อน มีปริมาณการผลิตด้านผู้โดยสาร (ASK) เพิ่มขึ้น 2.9% ปริมาณขนส่งผู้โดยสาร (RPK) เพิ่มขึ้น 1.0% อัตราส่วนการบรรทุกผู้โดยสาร (Cabin Factor) เฉลี่ย 77.6% ต่ำกว่าปีก่อน ซึ่งเฉลี่ยที่79.2%
